Answers to sort computer pain for Computer Users
Sort computer pain once and for all. It matters how you sit, type etc. Work for hours, free from sore posture, shoulders, back or neck. Are you aware of the origin of these symptoms? Since you’re on this page it is clear you don’t.
Can we ever be able to use technology and ALSO take care of ourselves, be free of pain etc?
Is it possible, or is our (technical) advancement happening too fast for our ability to adapt (posturely)?
While you’re sitting many hours at the computer, here’s a thought:
Your focus is very pulled in by the screen. You forget the time. You detach with difficulty. Despite all the good advice you have been given. ‘Sit up straight’! ‘Don’t slouch’! Take a gap every half hour’.
Here’s some good news.
While you may have all the best of ergonomic furniture and positions (outer ergonomics), now you need to have your inner ergonomics upgraded. Read about 5 important facts about sitting.
The more you know about your ‘best’ posture (your internal ergonomics), the more you can be positive you’re giving it the best.
If you want to work pain free for hours at your computer, here’s 4 things to think about.
First: Consider the weight of your head. At approximately 6 to 8kgs it is heavier than you think. How does it work with gravity?
Second: This is supported at the top of the spine.
Third: The lower spine or torso is surrounded by the pelvis which takes a large load in the support (even while sitting).
And lastly: This supports the legs which rest on the ground.
To be free from sore posture at a computer, here’s a tip:
Understand that the heavy head is pulling down the spine with all its muscles. And over time, gradually causing a change in the muscle system and computer pain.
Besides, this is the tip of the iceberg!
Are you aware that other health complications such as digestive problems, disturbed concentration, depression, varicose veins and more, are caused by a tendency to sit collapsed. If you are experiencing any of these symptoms then I have good news for you.

c) With full awareness, you hold the key to sort computer pain. Since the body’s entire support is in-built, it can stand or sit without external ergonomic support; given the right (internal) direction.

how you can stand, sit, do everyday actions, with less pull/push on your whole frame. Aim for less doing less while being more productive.
